L'Image du Jour

Science is still pretty!
Grains of pollen come in all shapes and sizes. The large object in the centre of this image is pumpkin pollen; the tiny speck just below and to the right of it is forget-me-not pollen.

Blasted pumpkins! Not that your picture isn't very pretty and cool- how do you find these??
I have been trying to 'make' a pumpkin for several years- the plant grows like hell but no pumpkin.. *sigh* So Pumpkin is kind of like a swear word these days!

Geez - I thought these had come from the depths of the sea ... still, they are purdy.

AA - I had the same problem with my pumpkin plants ... try miracle grow soil.

How lovely that I can look at this beautiful pollen and not sneeze once!

They look like works of art...or creatures of the deep ocean...or body invaders....

Wonderful picture. I thought I was looking at sea creatures or sponges. So pretty and yet so bothersome!

i'm going to have to question my cleaning regime, as those delectable technicolour images resemble what i find swimming in mugs when i am hunting blindly in the mornings for a caffeine receptacle
